From Raw Tracks to Release-Ready Sound
Mix and Mastering study case: Nico Viglione
This mix was built from raw, unprocessed multitracks.
The goal was to achieve a classic old-school hip-pop sound, with a perfect point wet scene to add the right thridimensionality.
Objective:
Before Mix and Master
After Mix and Master
🎧 Use headphones. Switch between the two versions and notice clarity, punch and stereo depth.
Punchy drums
The original drums felt dry and lacked impact.
After processing, they sound punchy, energetic and forward in the mix.
Curious about what changed under the hood?
Behind the process
Vocal
The vocal tracks were poorly timed, creating an unintended doubled effect instead of a tight performance.
The tracks are now fully time-aligned, tight and cohesive, moving together naturally in the mix.
