From Raw Tracks to Release-Ready Sound

Mix and Mastering Study case: Nico Viglione

Before Mix and Master

After Mix and Master

🎧 Use headphones. Switch between the two versions and notice clarity, punch and stereo depth.

This mix was built from raw, unprocessed multitracks.
The goal was to achieve a modern but warm indie-pop sound, with clear vocals, controlled low-end and a wider, deeper stereo image, while preserving the original vibe of the song.

Objective:

Behind the process

Drum control

  • The original drum were ringing and killing the groove.

  • After treatment, the drums feel tighter and more musical.

Curious about what changed under the hood?

Stereo depth

  • The mix felt flat and narrow.

  • Now it feels wide and three-dimensional.

Vocal and guitars

  • The vocals were clear but dry, while the guitars were affected by ground noise and uncontrolled dynamics.

  • Now the vocals feel full and immersive, and the guitars are tight, controlled and stable in the mix.
